Fiona Matheson

Fiona produces beautiful rugged highland landscapes. Drawing upon her experiences in life. From her crofting heritage in Strathcarron, her earlier successful career in knitwear and textile design and her involvement and interaction with other artists at WASPS studios in Inverness. There is an atmosphere around these highland landscapes and the way the light and weather plays across it, that requires an immersion of the soul into that landscape, and to be able to portray it on canvas. Fiona does that so well.
